At Ketanji Brown Jackson's Supreme Court confirmation hearing there was a bit of confusion about what the term “woman” means. The Supreme Court Justice nominee was asked if she could define “woman” after a series of news stories regarding transgender people. Biological men competing in and dominating women’s sports, questioning transgender appointees to high level government positions, and transgender bathroom privileges in schools have been major distraction issues of late.
KBJ’s answer to the question of defining what a “woman” is was “I’m not a biologist.” This was a noteworthy moment in the interviews and created a flood of memes and jokes on the internet social media. Here are some of our favorites.
